[ WARDED TO DUFF]I'm sorry. I mean, I didn't think that -- I couldn't just leave you there. I'm sorry you got hurt but I'm not sorry that I wanted to stay. It's not like we have necessarily discussed what to do in such a situation before. I didn't want to run and leave you behind.
I'm just so so so relieved, glad, thankful, that our kids didn't come with us.
[ WARDED TO ST MUNGO'S AND FAMILY]The nerve they have to attack innocent people in a public place, at a ballet! I haven't been able to check out the rest of the wards but I hope there aren't too many injured people, as I did see many able to run out of the theatre. Still, I'm sure many of us will be on call tonight.
So, in the midst of all these terrible things happening, I found out why I've been feeling a little off lately. I'm pregnant and due in July.!

Never in the eighteen-some years at St. Mungo's have I experienced so many people in the Magical Bugs Ward. I cannot think of a reason as to why such an epidemic is occurring now but still, thank God for Gunhilda of Gorsemoor for coming up with a cure for it. But moreso than the cure, the key here is prevention. Dragonpox is spread by respiratory droplets with close contact and can occasionally be airborne.
Now, if only there was a vaccine for dragonpox, prevention would be much much easier, but as there isn't, here are a few tips:
- Wash your hands often
- Use a handkerchief, your wand, your foot, etc. to open public doors
- Avoid crowded places, if possible
- If you work at St. Mungo's or come in contact with those who are infected, as long as you're wearing the appropriate contact precautions and practice good hand washing, the risk should be minimal
If you, or a loved one, has dragonpox, stay isolated. Isolation is essential to break the chain of transmission. If you, as the patient, has developed the rashes before your isolation, your last recent contacts should be warned so they can take extra precautions and seek treatment if they start to feel any symptoms.
Like the Prophet article explained, extra precautions should be taken for children, pregnant women, the elderly, and those with compromised immune systems.
Take care and stay healthy everyone.
[ WARDED TO DUFF ]I will never ever again complain about a slow day at work. Ever.

[ WARDED TO ST MUNGO EMPLOYEES AND VOLUNTEERS ]First off, I need to sleep thank you so much to all those who volunteered or were called in yesterday, there aren't many of us at any given time on the Second Floor and we wouldn't have been able to go through a quarter of the patients without your help.
Secondly, there were several patients there who seemed to be developing dragon pox. We're treating some stress rashes as if they could possibly be a developing case of dragon pox (worst case) so if you have children or elderly at home and you're stopping by the Second Floor, I suggest you take extra precautions, just in case. You can never be too safe.
Thirdly, I wonder if we ignore Henchley long enough, if he'll just go away. Yes? No? Yes?

Is it too early to be worrying about costume making? And, yes, I know Halloween is still three weeks away but three weeks should be ample time to make costumes for Duncan and Temperance. A week to plan, a week to make, and a week for adjustments and grabbing accessories. Last year, two weeks just didn't cut it and I was in between just purchasing one from the store and ripping my hair out. Anyone have any ideas on what popular characters or themes are going around in the younger generations?
[ WARDED TO ST MUNGO EMPLOYEES AND VOLUNTEERS ]I didn't think that Ministry Official was going to be around past a week. Even I'm getting uncomfortable and restless when he's around, almost second guessing the things that I've been doing for nearly twenty years. Personally, I think he's more of a hindrance than beneficial but that could just be me.
